I would suggest that you make a back up of your system files before even touching this. Also.. once going to this page or any of it's pages I would also suggest running your Adaware..Damn thing is loaded with Ave A crap.. Please note this was also written in 2003. Some have upgraded their system and some of these changes might not be so good. This is a good find but if your not techie enough to know how to reformat your drive it is never suggested to do these things.

Telling someone jumping a puddle to be careful is one thing.. Telling someone jumping a river bank.. is another.

None of the changes mess up your system unless you don't do them the way the guide suggests!! I told you that I did it and I'm still here so nothing to worry about. Just some tweaks. Just dont go into the wrong directory, heh, be sure to be careful to be in the right place and not accidentially change/delete something you're notsupposed to

However I don't know enough about hardware/software to mess with the IQR prioritizing, I left that alone. And I coluldant figure out ther QoS tweak. Edit: I figured out the QoS tweak... I was in the wrong place lolz. See? Be careful lmao. It gives you more bandwidth supposedly... less ping

It is a windows XP tweak guide. I'd do it if I knew how/a shit about best priority/what needs to be in it ;o

Although it is recognized as an undesirable cookie.

Also if you go to windows clasic mode than go in windows XP it gives you like 20 more megs free memory, and my dadsaid that it boosts video card performance.

Sigh. I remember the good ol' days when I use to help on the PC security forum. Just for shits 'n giggles I'd undo my protection and AV and go to like the Warez ring sites and see what trouble I could get into. I'd download everything.
Ad-aware would light up like a Christmas Tree when I was done. Sometimes it was bad enough I had to F-disk the HD.
Complete system restore. A game unto itself...

Yeah well I dont visit warez or porn, don't have any hard feelings w/ anyone (nobody has any reason to fuck me up), never use email other than to sign up for stuff, and I enjoy performance from to protection software ;-)
