hey guys, i just bought 2 games yesterday for my ds (i was hoping naruto clash of ninja 2 was out). i played them a bit, and they 1 of them is probably one of the best games i have ever played.
Mario Hoops: 3-on-3
I wasn't sure whether i should buy this game or not, since i absolutely HATE sports games. i bought it, and when i got home and played it, it BLEW my away. Mario hoops: 3-on-3 has got to be one of the best games i have ever played. there are a couple modes to play with on the game. Challenge, which is where you can practice(this is first thing you HAVE to do as soon as you play the game), practice special shots(more on that later), and then there's dribble race. next is the tournament, where you play against 3 teams of computers, 1 round at a time. if you win the tourney, you can get: a new basketball color, a new character, or a new costume for a character. there's an exhibition mode, where you basically just play a quick game against a team of computers. the last mode is the match-up mode, meant for wireless play. Mario hoops is single-card, and multi-card play. All of the Mario all-stars are here; Mario, Luigi, peach, DK, Bowser, and more; and every character has a special shot. the biggest surprise is probably the fact this game has FINAL FANTASY CHARACTERS! the controls are easy once you get the hang of them, almost all of them revolve around you rubbing the touch screen or something. the sounds and music are pretty decent, and the game has MANY unlockables, and the graphics are absolutely stunning for a DS game. i give Mario hoops: 3-on-3 a 5 out of 5.
onto the next game, which is an OK game when it comes to single player, but it's even better ONLINE.
Star Fox command
first off, anyone who loves games that have to do with flying planes will love this game. in the game, you play as Fox Mcloud, the leader of a team called Star Fox...a team that has disbanded a long time ago. there is a disturbance on the planet of Venom, and Fox must get his team back together. throughout all of the game, you fly in this spaceship/jet called an Arwing. the controls are simple, the WHOLE game revolves around the touch screen, the only button you need to press is the L button, to fire lasers. you move around with the touch screen, boost, brake, drops bombs on enemy pilots, and even do fun tricks. Single player mode gets a little boring after a while, but then again, this game isn't about single player. this game is all about the Wi-Fi play. if you have a wireless router, buy this game. on Wi-Fi, you get to fight 3 other players in a wild dogfight. this game also has wireless play, i think single card and multi card. The graphics are awesome, the music and sounds are pretty cool, and the controls are pretty eacy. although the fact that the single player is a bit boring, I'm giving, Star Fox Command a 3 out of 5
