Pulling the G5 from his pocket, Fyre_TU hailed his father and told of the messenger that had been brought in the salon of the Tin Hat Inn which temporarily housed many of the exiles of Necropolis. Of the four TU clansmen, three were very volatile in their verbal reaction to the message and openly hostile to the young liaison that carried it, patently clear that some trickery was a foot, already their senses became even more sensitized to the atmosphere around them. Each of them instinctively and knowingly mistrusting the origins from which the message was sent. There wasn’t a man, woman or child alive that had not willingly entered exile that didn’t know Ping Crosby for what he was, a lying, conniving, thieving son of a bitch, more over a man that would send his own mother into hell if would suit his purposes, added to which there wasn’t one of them that didn’t look upon the messenger as anything less then a traitor.
The fourth and by far the eldest of the lot, Spooker was in vivid contrast amused, for although he too knew Ping Crosby to be a lying, conniving, thieving son of a bitch’s get, he was more then a bit intrigued, wished to hear more of the details of how Zeki had managed to be manipulated in to playing the part of messenger.
“I repeat for the second time. The message is for Dank and Fire alone.” Zeki tried yet again.
“That would be Lieutenant Dank and Captain Fire LLA to you, ya damned scum.” Gamefreak growled again as he fondled the hilt of his sword, ready for the opportunity to unsheathe it and put an end to Zeki and Crosby’s duplicity.
“It is just as I said before,” Zeki stammered
“Then say it again!” This from Noiz who deliberately moved closer so that Zeki was forced to look up into the younger man’s eyes. “I want it word for word this time.” Noiz demanded his brown eyes became even darker and menacing.
Zeki felt like a trapped rabbit, pressed as he were between three of the four TU clansmen, their weight and stature alone oppressive in comparison to himself, who could best be described as wiry and fleet of foot. He stepped back away from Gamefreak’s blade, struggled and gained control of the panic that was rising within him. He glanced nervously about, noting as he did so that Fyre darted expectant glances towards the entrance of the Tin Hat Inn. Zeki’s eyes shuttered and silently prayed that Fyre's father proved to be more accommodating then his questioners and too, that he didn’t fall victim to Dank’s wrath once the lieutenant was in possession of the facts of Crosby’s message.
“Don’t you understand, I can’t do that, I must give the message to Dank, Lieutenant Dank, he amended hastily and Captain FireLLA.” He corrected himself, hearing the menacing growl close to his ear; he had no need to look to know that it was Gamefreak, the growl even lower and more dangerous then before. “Zeki fingered the insignia upon his collar twisting it so that it threatened to pop off his collar.
“I’ll tell you what, if you don’t start spilling your guts this moment, you won’t have any guts to ever be spilled...” Noiz hissed close to Zeki’s left ear.
Spook moved to face the courier hooking his fingers in his utility belt, an open show that he would not harm the messenger and waited for Zeki to pull himself together. “You will give me Crosby’s message and you will do so now!” Spooker demanded.
Zeki TC was no coward, noted for his use of grapple and a unerring sixth sense in the placement of mines and traps of all sorts, it was nothing short of amazing to find him playing courier for Crosby, especially as he was one of the first to follow Fire LLA into exile, and yet after scarcely two days into their banishment he disappeared. There was no doubt that he had decamped and returned to Necropolis but it was the why that concerned Spooker more so even then the message that he now carried for Crosby, shrewdly surmising that it had to do with the disappearance of Stephy of Nygma .
Zeki swallowed hard and then squaring his shoulders, his eyes focused on the Aid de Camp, he spoke, his words came haltingly at first and then grew stronger with the telling. “Stephy found me outside on the wharf, not but a day had passed since we arrived in Fragtown.” He cocked his head to the side, his eyes growing darker in memory. “She knew, you know how Stephy is, she always knows when something is amiss. So sympathetic, so utterly compassionate and before I knew what was happening I told her.”
Biting his lip, he went on, heedless of the arrival of the Captain and also of the man whom was mate to Stephy of Nygma. Lt. Dank stood just behind Fire LLA but with the sound of his lady’s name he moved around so that he too faced Zeki. The latter swallowed but determinedly pushed on in his narrative.
“I had been on duty with Da Dopa and Da’ Ping and QuadRaptor.. My surveillance had taken me around to the small boat ramp, and I had noticed earlier that there had been a small trawler tied up under the covered boat ramp but now there were two of them and they were marked with runes. Zeki ran a hand through his hair brushing the ash brown locks back feathering his forehead. It didn’t seem right, I tried signaling Raptor, but he wasn’t responding, I didn’t make much of it at the time because there had been so much trouble with our communicators I thought that it must be some kind of dead zone, as it seemed the most plausible of reasons for the malfunctioning of our responders and transformers,, having occurred incessantly since our arrival.”
