I first jumped on the TU website using IE. But now I switched to Opera and the whole website seems to load and move a whole lot smoother.

Yeah it is way faster on Opera but when posting replies the little emoticon buttons don't work. I'll ask the Opera Windows community whats up with that. So if I want to post messages currently I can do it in Opera but I cant use the clickey buttons for the emoticons. When I try that on Opera it just looks at me like I just beamed down from the Mother Ship. But I can substitue their html tag for it.(I think its called their html tag) such as for the wink and stuff.

I tend to use IE simply for compatibility but Firefox is good and in some cases a lot smoother/quicker.

The board is starting to shape up better and better. I'm not sure why Opera performs better on this website than IE, but IE takes forever to load it. Almost like its going to freeze up. Popups can be a little bit of a problem around here huh? Coming on here with IE without a popup bocker.<shudder> Here's a link to download the latest Opera for anyone who's interested. www.opera.com/download/

I tried to respond in the TU news forum about the popups but I can't post replies in that forum. As for the popups, that is what makes us able to get this site for FREE. The commercials pay for it, as it were. Anyways, if using IE you can download one of the many FREE popup blockers. Or if using FF or Opera you can just use their built in pop up bockers.

OK I have to try this. Someone on the Opera community forum said they had no trouble using the emoticon buttons with Opera on this website. :clover: :coffee: < All the emoticons you see on this post are the ones I was able to use directly with Opera. However, the others do not respond at all. I gotta try it again on IE, this may be just malfunctioning emoticons in general rather than browser specific. I am going to post a reply in a minute to this post using IE and see whats going on there.
