I just want to remind yall of what i said after the first SNS-TU match, that one leader from each clan need to talk in real time chat, a while before the match to determine rules, roster, server, everything. sounds like maybe this didnt happen?

I want to repeat the request and proposal i made after the first war for arranging all future wars. One leader from each clan need to talk about the rules with each other in real time chat at least a week before the match. That leader will then make all the necessary arrangements with his clan members. This will work better than trying to sideswipe our leaders and getting our members to arrange anything with SNS directly; its just to complicated a process to be undertaken en masse, it requires delegation. So here is a quote from my initial request, with info on how best to reach the TU leaders, which I copy from www.quakeone.com/forums/showthread.php?p=16353#post16353:"We want to work to minimize the pregame conflict we had this time--this will eliminate the frustration of Sniper, me, Baker, Quad, and others. To that end, I am requesting that if SNS would like to challenge us in the future, please negotiate the terms at least a week in advance of the proposed date of the match with either Fuzznut, d'Rouen, or myself on either AOL Instant Messenger or ICQ. True we have our moderately popular forum at totallyuseless.proboards61.com/index.cgi, but not everyone checks every post every day, so we prefer live communication. Fuzznut's AIM name is Fuzznut5. My AIM is dirtyspik (my name is spike; people call me spik) and my email is spooker888@yahoo.com. d'Rouen's AIM is catspawtu, her ICQ is 121506513, her YIM is rouen_tu, and her MSN and email is drouen_tu@hotmail.com. More negotiation will bring more cooperation." snipes I appreciate what you're saying about babbling before a match, it was admittedly the biggest problem last time. But it will not happen if you negotiate with one of our leaders beforehand

Reminder for everyone, the war is tonight, Friday the 29th, at 8pm PST, 11 pm EST, on Rage.Quakeone.com:26001. The mod will be CA. Please, to avoid me bitching at you, wear the proper TU tag, which has been established since time immemorial by Kin, D, Fuzz, me, and others: all white, lowercase "_tu". else we look like fools. Some have complained, and i listened, but i dont think it is a tremendously heavy burden for everyone to bear. Thanks!

TU beats KP 3-2 Clan TU played a 4v4 CA match with KP on Friday night. There were some very intense moments. The result was a 3-2 win for TU. It was a wonderful, intense, enjoyable match, and sportsmanship was perfect all around, except for one or two outbursts from Monster_TU. Thanks for the awesome match KP!! We will match you again any time, so long as our schedule is free! Those playing for TU: Monster, Foqer, Quadraptor, Frenzy, Spooker, Stoopid Those playing for KP: Mindz, Soul, Spoonman, Vanish, Bryant, Animal Here's a breakdown of the match results: TU won matches 2, 3, and 5; KP won matches 1 and 4. If you add up the scores for the rounds from all the matches, it comes out to TU winning 23 rounds and KP winning 16. Thanks for the match KP!! GGs! Look forward to the next one! BTW the quotation of the match is from Foqer: "Monster, your brain gets 2 fps". Here's a zip file with demos and screenshots: Download TUvsKP.zip

Subject: TU beats EXL 2-0 Tonight clan TU beat clan EXL in a CA match best 2-0, in a best of 3 match. EXL didn't have enough players, so Zord was accepted as an EXL sub. While this does make it not a real match, I will note that Zord scored significantly higher in both matches than both real EXL members, so EXL got an advantage by having a sub. The first match was 3v3, and the second match was a mix of 2v2 and 3v3 due to sportsmanship problems on the part of EXL.Shorty. He started trash-talking and wouldn't stop, so he was muted and then disconnected himself. He returned and watched the rest of the match, continued trash talking, and was banned at the end of the 2nd match. 1st match: DM3 TU: Frenzy, Stoopid, and Spook. EXL: Haze, Shorty. EXL sub: Zord TU won rounds 1, 2, 4, 5, and 6, and EXL won round 3, leading to a 5-1 TU win. 2nd match: DM3 TU: Frenzy, Quadraptor, and Stoopid. EXL: Haze, Shorty. EXL sub: Zord TU won rounds 1, 3, 5, 6, and 8. EXL won rounds 2, 4, and 7. Shorty began trash talking in round 1 of this match, continued to do so, and was muted and disconnected himself in round 5. It was 3v2 for a little bit, then in the 6th round Stoopid stepped out to make it 2v2 again. Therefore, part of rounds 5 and 6 was uneven (3v2), and TU won these rounds, but the unevenness problem was EXL's fault after all. So, the second match was a 5-3 win for TU. GGs! Thanks for the match EXL! Thank you Phenom for demoing the match and being an independent observer. Hope you have more players next time EXL so we can play a real match! Download the demos: The first 2 are both matches. The third one is just the first match. Download tuvsexl1and2A.demDownload tuvsexl1and2B.demDownload tuvsexl1.dem

btw it would be a good idea for anyone planning to play in a match to have LOC (location) files so you can quickly tell your teammates where you are. First, go to www.quakeone.com/ctfre/Scroll down to "LOC File Downloads" and get the ones for ID episodes 1-4. Second, put them in a folder called "locs" in your ID1 folder. I'm not sure exactly which mods they work with, but I know they work with Proquake. Third, bind a key to "say_team %L" and hit it to tell your location to your teammates. It is very useful at the beginning of a CA round, because sometimes one or two members of the other team will be following you during the countdown to the start of the round, and you want to meet up with someone on your team and nail the dude who is trying to "gay" you at the start. You can also say your health and armor by binding "say_team %h %a %l"

Everyone where your proper tag. That means, "_tu" at the end of your name. Lowercase. Anybody wearing a different tag will be bitched at and will not play in the match. This is the only measure of discipline i ask from you guys

ATTENTION EVERYONE. FRENZY HAS INFORMED ME THAT THE NEW SERVER, CHI.QUAKEONE.COM DOES NOT HAVE ITS 01+ PORTS READY YET. So we'll just tourney on the server. I assume that means just chi.quakeone.com, port 26000??

TU beats SNS 3-2 TU and SNS played another CA match last night on various rage ports--we had trouble with 26001 crashing repeatedly during the first match. We played 4v4 on the following choices of maps: Sanity, DM3, Edge, DM3, DM3. If you add up the rounds, TU won 19 rounds and SNS won 16 rounds. Needless to say, it was a very close match. Sportsmanship was stellar all around except for some outbursts from FOQ and Bryant, but nothing too problematic; on the whole, the match went without a hitch, even despite the server crashes! Thanks for the match SNS, GGs and we're looking forward to the next one! Here's a zip with demos and screenshots from the match: Download TUvsSNS.zip
