Funny you should say that, we are just making some plans to come over again for another visit/fact finding mission. In addition, Spook made a reference to 'representation' recently which got me thinking. As we, like so many others here, have never even seen our Member of Parliament (Senator) or been asked for or had the opportunity to offer any input whatsoever on what I would want from my "representative" I believe that would constitute having no representation whatsoever. With this in mind maybe we should be considering asking for independance from what is laughingly called our "government" too. Maybe we could become another US state, Burnsville has a certain ring to it don't you think? Failing that I'll be having a pint or two this coming weekend and toasting you all to celebrate your independance from those wretched god gish damned darned limeys/brits ;D Kind regards Monty

Hi Goblin and welcome to TU. Have fun and hope to see you out there in Quake land. I'll be the geriatric looking one with a 'walker' and extra brown safety pants Alternatively, if spooker has been on the server I'll be on floors 1,2,4,5,7 and 9 of the fragtown map. Kind regards Monty

...Monty, would you, could you, maybe please create a section for a listing of the servers the clan uses most often? IMHO i think it would make a nice addition. Let me know what you think. Ð' I did write an implementation of a live server browser (those who are members at my site can see this as needed) which you are more than welcome to copy but I'm not sure whether we have that much control over this site, Fuzz could probably fill in the details on that. You could always look at this thread which at least goes some way along those lines. Alternatively there is the popular server browser on the home page of quakeone or the full browser at the same site. Hope this helps. Kind regards Monty

Blimey!! And erm.. blimey!!! From what I know of Jack over the last couple of years he is a nice guy, an extremely talented and sporting player (although he's no 'Mr.Burns' yet ) , an avid supporter of quake and is generally polite, courteous and helpful whenever I see him on the servers, and I've not heard a bad word said against him. Not as long as you exclude me shouting "Damnit Jack stop killing me" at the screen every 3 or 4 seconds" . Although to be fair to Jack it would be difficult for him to contribute greatly to your tournaments due to the transatlantic lag, and his bizarre sexual practices aside (*cough, Gerbils, cough*) ;D, I would consider TU very lucky to count him amongst their number. He would certainly get my vote if I had one hehe. Kind regards Mr.B

Maybe it would be fun if someone would revive some of the better older mods like Painkeep and DMP [rolls eyes]. I wonder, if we managed to persuade someone to put up a server if anyone would actually play. Would any TU'ers be interested even in trying it out?

...i didn't know you come here jackhammer, welcome! Yes, Jack moves in mysterious ways. I'm still trying to figure out if his funny Cystitus-like walk is down to the howitzer like RL he seems to carry around with him or as a result of some sort of personal piercing gone wrong. Knowing Jack I suspect the later
...burnsie, don't give me that "ive never played runequake b4" hogwash Yes I confess, I've played RQ, albeit badly, but these were mostly new maps that i had never seen before and the runes were different from the ones I was used to. Although I guess I'm a DM'er at heart I do try to maintain some sort of balance and I am working hard at being equally bad at DM
... ive seen you on shmack tons of times!! Correction, through your 'scope' you've no doubt seen the back of my head running away, followed by my entrails flying past you, repeat thess first 2 steps 20 or 30 times a minute, finally followed by me leaving this hilarity. ;D
... It's fvf.servequake.com:26003 or coop.runequake.com i believe. I did notice on the Quakeone Maps page underneath the RQuake map pack that there was a note saying coop.runequake.com was down although that may be an old note.

Me neither. I'd only really played rquake once before for about 20 mins so the maps and the mod were comparatively new to me, which made a refreshing change. Not that it adversely affected what the whippersnappers call my 'l33t 5k1llz' at all In terms of the maps I found the best playing position to be about 10 feet behind you or Peg and then just tip toe through the 'soup' of monster body parts you left in your wake. Not quite sure what was wrong with Vince/Tredder/whatever and if it was so bad that it caused him to continually complain about the lag, server, mod, play, tu, the fact that he wanted and couldn't have me sexually, etc why did he seem so keen to stay. I'm affraid I can't help with the suggested cure for his problem. Kr's M P.S. Good to see you back Jack! P.P.S I might run a Painkeep server this weekend if anyone fancies a game. Just post here or on my site if anyone is up for it.

Just a quick note to say it was fun and much appreciated to see a couple of TU'ers this side of the pond. playing coop on Polarite's server. Suprisingly (for a european server at least) we had 6-8 people playing Co-op and although on the odd occasion the server was lagging it was good natured fun. Made a change to die repeatedly at my own hand instead of Spookers ;D For those that may have been scared off by the ping the server is admined by Polarite and is generally a good natured friendly sort of place (with the possible exception of a strange player called tredder/S2/Vince/etc) If anyone does fancy a game the server address is flanders.servegame.org:26001 and you might be well advised to get the rquake map pack if you don't already have it. Anyway. gg's all. Kind regards Monty

Don't get me started. Caught what is laughingly called a train home this evening only to be forced to listen to some halfwit, who sounds like a Brummie version of Janice Litman Goralnik from Friends (Chandler Bing's ex), ranting on and on about the mind numbing subject of her bl**dy hair to her mate. Everyone else had the good manners to keep the conversations to a low level when travelling in a busy carriage but this simple rule of etiquette seemed to have passed her by and had me longing to get home and for the blessed relief offered by my grandads service revolver. Kr's Mr.B P.S. Short clip of D and Rocks reminiscing hehe

It's good to see where Enfield and Whitehouse got there inspiration ;D (Rock is the one to the right ) ...wasn't like that in your day, eh? Must admit, as I work in a large city (south of yours) it is particular annoying especiallly as it avoidable with a little just the smallest amount of consideration for others Kind regards Monty

Just wanted to express my deepest sympathies to those affected by the recent attrocities in Virginia. I hope I speak for most of the members when I say our thoughts are with them.
